Facebook is a great way to meet friends and business contacts and keep up on what they are doing. Once you add a friend to your Facebook friend list you will always know when they are adding things to their blog or updating their profile. Join Facebook groups to meet people like you, or browse the profiles to find new friends. Facebook’s classmates and co-worker search is good for finding friends too. Businesses can interact with a PAGE, which can be used as the primary presence on the network, or in combination with a personal profile. |

LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking site. It is the world’s largest professional network with over 100 million members and growing rapidly. LinkedIn connects you to your trusted contacts and helps you exchange knowledge, ideas, and opportunities with a broader network of professionals. LinkedIn is the premium business networking site with many possibilities for connecting faster and easier than in-person events. |

Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that allows you quickly connect to your contacts by sending short text messages 140 characters in length, called “tweets”, to your friends, or “followers.” Your tweets are displayed on your profile page, on the home page of each of your followers, or available through many 3rd party applications, mobile devices or even pulled into your other social networks. Businesses can use this to connect to new sources to quickly find up-to-the-minute information that can be shared with their contacts. |

YouTubeYouTube is a video sharing website on which users can upload and share videos. YouTube is the dominant provider of online video in the United States, with a market share of around 43 percent and more than 14 billion videos viewed in May 2010.
