Balancing your work & life is no easy task, especially when you have a million TO-DOs. Trello will revolutionize how you stay organized.
Ideas and things that I need to get done seem to bounce around my brain like popcorn. If I don’t manage things carefully, I wind up spending valuable time, money and energy on the wrong priorities — or even worse — I let important things slip through the cracks.
Expanding my business seemed to just multiply the problem. With each new client or team member, more TO-DOs. I’ve shifted my approach to realize I can’t possibly do it all, so I had to get clear on the PURPOSE of each to knock out a lot on my list. But what remained is the really important things.
I’ve tried paper lists, Excel files and Word Docs (color coded), reminders on my calendar, sticky notes or just trying to remember things.
Then Jennifer Farley of Savory Simple told me about Trello. She raved about it and I put it on my TO-DO list..l was too busy to look into it! Thankfully, I finally did and now I can’t live without it!
I can’t rave about Trello enough. This one tool is so simple, mobile friendly, and will keep you organized on a personal and professional level.
Multiple lists with detailed cards for each task have checklists, due dates, files & more. Share with other people & access quickly from your computer or mobile devices!
I use it to organize the status of projects, personal tasks, new ideas, things to do next week or month (aka “bright shiny objects” that used to sidetrack me) and more. My list isn’t down to zero, but I’m amazed at how much my productivity has increased in just a short amount of time.
You can also step it up a level to manage a team.
As you get systems setup with your business, you want something that can expand with you. I’ve found it to be extremely helpful to use with my husband, too. No more reminders about things. The new rule is PUT IT ON TRELLO!
